What it means
Archiving a plot retires it: PlotDR never screens an archived plot again. The request created no check and did not count against your monthly check quota. It did count against the per-minute rate limit, like any other request to this endpoint.
This problem comes from POST /v1/plots/{plot_id}/checks. A batch does not refuse an archived plot
as a whole: it skips the item and lists it in item_errors with the reason plot_archived.
Archiving does not touch the plot’s history. GET /v1/plots/{plot_id}, the plot’s past checks
(GET /v1/plots/{plot_id}/checks) and reports on those checks keep working.
Typical causes
- The plot was archived with
DELETE /v1/plots/{plot_id}. - The plot’s supplier was archived with
DELETE /v1/suppliers/{supplier_id}, which archives every plot under it. - The ID refers to an archived plot rather than the active plot you meant to check.
What to do
The plot’s past checks stay readable, so you do not need a new check to keep its record.
To screen the same land again, register it as a new plot with POST /v1/plots, under an active
supplier, and check that plot. To screen it once without registering it, send its geometry to
POST /v1/checks with a commodity_id.
