Confirmation does not match

What it means

Deleting an organization cannot be undone, so the request must repeat the organization’s current name in confirm_org_name. The name sent did not match exactly, and nothing was deleted.

This problem comes from POST /v1/orgs/me/delete, which is reserved for a signed-in organization admin. An API key receives 403 from it, so an integration never sees this problem. In the dashboard, the confirmation is the name you type under Org Settings, Danger zone, Delete organization.

Typical causes

A typo, different capitals, or an extra space. The comparison is exact.
Another admin renamed the organization after you loaded the page.
The organization has no name, so no confirmation can match.

What to do

Enter the organization’s name exactly as it appears in Org Settings, reloading the page first if it may have changed. If the organization has no name, give it one in Org Settings, then try again.
