Monthly check quota exceeded
- Type

429- Content type
application/problem+json
What it means
The Free plan includes 200 checks per calendar month, counted in UTC. Creating the requested checks would take the organization past that limit, so none were created.
The count covers the checks created this month plus the checks still owed by batches submitted
this month that are pending or running. A batch is counted in full when you submit it: if all of
its items do not fit in what is left, the whole batch is refused.
This problem can come from POST /v1/checks, POST /v1/plots/{plot_id}/checks and
POST /v1/batches.
You will not receive it with an API key. API keys require the API Pro plan, and the Pro and API Pro plans have no monthly check limit.
Typical causes
- The organization is on the Free plan and has used its checks for the month.
- A batch is larger than the checks left this month.
What to do
- Wait for the next calendar month, when the count starts again. The response has no
Retry-Afterheader, because retrying sooner returns the same error. - Submit a smaller batch that fits in the checks left.
- Upgrade to Pro or API Pro under Billing in the dashboard. See Pricing.
This is not the per-minute rate limit. A rate-limited request also answers 429, but with
"type": "about:blank" and a Retry-After header; see
rate limits.
